    Hello Allison,
I am interested in your videos.
When I do Bible Studies at my church, San Isidro in Pompano Beach, Florida, I use videos that are word for word with the bible.
Any way, when I clicked your list of videos, not one would open for me. ???? Is it my lack of software or is it a problem happening to everyone ??

Make sure that you click ON the IMAGE and not on the words/title of the video. It should take you directly to the video. If you can watch YouTube videos on your computer it should not be an issue to view the videos.
      Hope you find these helpful!

    Hi Allison,
I really like your video about the season of Lent, but I wanted to point out that you spelled “penance” incorrectly in two places…
    Thanks for all you do!

    • Allison Reply

Thank you! And Bummer about the misspelled words! I see that now! It took 8000+ views before anyone pointed that out to me! I watch these so many times that I guess it was easy to overlook! I will change it for the future but unfortunately I cannot change it now or I lose the number of views (which are beneficial to hopefully getting this to be more popular when searched on Youtube)! But thank you again for watching and for letting me know! Allison

You can download a program called ClipConverter.cc (and there are likely other similar options). This allows you to download a YouTube video onto your computer so that you can view it later even without internet. See if this works. Feel free to use these videos with attribution. Allison

    Allison,
I am writing on behalf of my wife who has been a catechism teacher for over 20 years. She was viewing your video on “Mary – The Mother of God” and was very taken by the final chronological collage in the video and saw a significant application in several catechism grades. Is there a chance that she could get a copy of that collage and use it in her class and by other teachers of other grades. She is talking about making the collage in large poster size for posting on a wall in the classroom.

PS: she and others here are very impressed with your videos. Thank you for that.

    • Allison Reply

I am glad they are finding the videos helpful!
As to your question, I am not sure what you are requesting for the collage. If you are wanting the images or the scenes, unfortunately the way I create these videos it is not in a format that I can break down this and share portions of it. Sorry.
Thank you again for the positive feedback!

    Hi Allison

Some friends and I in the UK have started a Facebook project Faith in 5 Minutes to deliver good quality faith material onto folks timeline on a daily basis. We have a real problem here of detachment from regular engagement with faith and this seems a good way to reconnect.

Your videos are just the kind of support we need.

I have two sons working in digital marketing. They tell me that I should concentrate on finding good videos and working hard on the distribution side. It will be a long term project but having great material gives us confidence that our aim to bring regular engagement is possible if we stay faithful.

    Thanks

    M

My motivation for the videos was similar to yours – find anyway possible to share the faith and bring people closer to Christ, especially in ways that people would find engaging!

Hello I’m curious if you have or know of a good resource to help prepare my son for baptism. He is almost 7 years old and will be in grade two faith and formation classes for grade two but we would like to prepare him for baptism since he has the knowledge of what is happening I’d like him to understand what is happening.

    • Allison Reply

      Michelle,
Firstly, just to let you know, per Canon law in the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church, a child can and should be baptized without any specific preparatory classes before their seventh birthday. So if your son is not yet 7, talk to the priest about moving forward with the sacrament of baptism as soon as possible!
Once he turns 7 though, because this is considered the age of reason – when a child becomes responsible for knowing the difference between right and wrong and thus can freely choose to sin – preparation classes are needed before baptism and the other sacraments and the specifics are decided on locally. (This does not mean that no child under the age of 6 sins because levels of maturity and awareness vary, but per Church law, the age of 7 is the accepted age of accountability.)

      Having said this-
Here are two websites with basic information on baptism for you firstly so you can teach him the basics:

      https://www.loyolapress.com/our-catholic-faith/sacraments/baptism

      http://baltimore-catechism.com/lesson14.htm

Then there is a cute video series you can buy for children. I do not know the cost but it is cute and there is one on baptism. It is called Brother Francis and you can find the baptism episode here:

      https://www.brotherfrancisonline.com/episode-5-born-into-the-kingdom/

      Hope this helps.
      God bless,
      Allison

Peace of Christ to you Allison,
I have been looking for a video that could summarize the lesson on Salvation History to complement what we have discussed in class with my 10th grade class. I am so glad to find your video on this subject. Your video is just a perfect one for me for now. i hope to use it in my class this week. And i hope it will help my students understand more what we have been looking at in class.

Allison, I don’t know if you know what a blessing your videos are. I have looked everywhere for these types of videos. I know it must be time consuming but I hope you will be making more. I also made a post on youtube. I hope you would consinder walking through the stories of the bible. I don’t know if you have heard of the bible timeline by Jeff Cavins but it is wonderful and gives a full picture of the bible story but it doesn’t use every book of the bible. But there are no videos that I have been able to find that tell stories as good as you. As an adult I am just now learning so much about the bible I never knew and I want to teach the children the story. I absolutely love your videos especially your comments the way you explain why things are done in a way children and adults can and understand and you link the old and new testament together…GREAT!!!!!…..God Bless You….and Thank you,

      Nelda –
Thank you so much for your comments! I am glad to hear how much you have enjoyed the videos and how beneficial they have been!
I do have plans to do more as I am able.
I do like your idea about doing various Bible stories! I will keep that in mind! I am hoping to have a video on the Rosary soon and I am still planning ideas for future videos…

You may also want to explore this website of mine more as well.
You may like the “Apologetics Resources” page as there are some documents that are fairly easy to read that reply to common questions about the Catholic faith.
You also may like the “Apologetics Handouts/Live Video” page because included here are some live talks I have given. They definitely are more in depth than my animated videos but I do think you may enjoy these as well.

Thank you again for your comments!
